Terms of use
House rules for OwnACasino, written as numbered clauses. The first line of each clause is the rule; anything after it is detail. Carrying on past this page means you agree to them.
1. The publisher
1.1 OwnACasino (ownacasino.co.uk) belongs to Wavequarry Networks B.V.; its address and email close this page in clause 11.
1.2 The desk writes reviews and guides about online casinos. It runs no games, sits on no gambling licence from the Gambling Commission or from anyone else, and never handles a stake, a balance or a prize.
2. The 18+ line
2.1 OwnACasino is for grown-ups only. Readers under 18 should close the page.
2.2 Casino accounts are closed to under-18s across the board, and an operator holding a GB licence will check your age before any money changes hands.
3. What a review promises
3.1 A review is pinned to the check date it shows. Bonus sizes, wagering, payment caps and game libraries are the operator’s to change, and they do — sometimes between breakfast and lunch.
3.2 Go through the operator’s own terms before the first deposit. If our summary and their wording disagree, theirs is the contract.
3.3 None of this is legal, tax or money advice.
4. Referral links
4.1 Certain casino links pay the publisher when the reader goes on to register. Ratings and ladder positions are not for sale at any price. The mechanics are on who pays the desk.
5. Reusing our pages
5.1 Our wording, tables and graphics are ours or licensed to us. Reading, printing a copy for yourself and quoting a line or two with a link back are all fine.
5.2 Lifting whole reviews, scraping the site or re-hosting our tables needs a written yes first.
5.3 Operator names, logos and game art stay with whoever owns them.
6. Fair play with the site
6.1 No attacks, no overloading, no probing for weak spots, and no bots clicking the /go/ referral links.
7. Leaving OwnACasino
7.1 An outbound link drops you on a site governed by its owner’s rules and privacy notice, not ours. Point us to a link that leads somewhere unlawful and it gets pulled.
8. Where liability stops
8.1 Every page is checked with care; none comes with a promise that it is complete or current.
8.2 Losses at a casino, withdrawals refused or held up, accounts shut and any other call an operator makes about you are not the publisher’s responsibility.
8.3 These clauses leave untouched any liability that UK law refuses to let a business exclude — fraud, or negligence that leads to someone’s death or injury, among others. The reader disclaimer spells out how far a review of ours can be relied on.
9. Staying in charge of your play
9.1 Fix a spending cap and a stop time before the first spin. A single GAMSTOP sign-up locks you out of all GB-licensed operators, the National Gambling Helpline (0808 8020 133, run by GamCare) costs nothing and never closes, and BeGambleAware has tools for taking stock.
10. New versions and the governing law
10.1 When the site changes or the law around it moves, these clauses are rewritten and re-dated; the latest dated version is the one in force.
10.2 Curaçao law governs these clauses. A reader living in the United Kingdom loses none of the consumer protection the law at home provides and remains free to sue at home.
